BULLYING AS A MEANS OF PLEASURABLY ASSERTING POWER Little research has been done on the relationship between the use of aggression and the enjoyment of power, but most people will have come across situations in their lives where they have observed somebody or perhaps a group of individuals deriving satisfaction from the harassment of somebody else. This is an all too common feature of the workplace and will be considered separately, but in the context of neighbourhood and community experiences of bullying, the most common examples relate to the intimidation of individuals, both children and adults, by groups or gangs.
