Affective education in elementary school takes place in the sense that personal relationships between teachers and children are fostered. When entering the elementary school the children are grouped into a class which is assigned one classroom and one teacher. Throughout all four years of elementary school this bond remains intact - the group of children, the room and the teacher. In general, all instruction is given by the same teacher, but it can also happen that a few subjects, such as German, arithmetic and science, may be covered by others later on.
